Sun Home Saunas Outdoor Full-Spectrum Cabin
Sun Home Luminar Outdoor 2-Person Full Spectrum Infrared Sauna
The Luminar 2-Person is the two-seat version of Sun Home's outdoor cabin. Its red cedar interior sits inside an aluminum shell under a stainless steel roof, and six full-spectrum heaters and three far-infrared heaters warm it to 170°F. Sun Home says it reaches temperature in 15–20 minutes, or an hour or more below 40°F. It draws 4.8 kW at 240V through a twist-lock plug, so budget for an electrician.

Outside
The Luminar 2 has one double-pane window across its front. Its privacy tint also shields the cedar from UV, by Sun Home's account.
Sun Home calls the cladding aerospace-grade aluminum and lines the room with Canadian red cedar. The Luminar 2 weighs 970 pounds.
Tinted glass hangs from the back edge of a 24-inch opening, and you pull it shut from inside with a cedar bar.
Light from a strip under the overhang washes down the walls after dark. Sun Home's spec sheet asks for 20 to 24 inches of clear space above it.
An 8-foot cord comes out of the roof above the back wall with a NEMA L6-20 twist-lock plug on the end. Sun Home rates the draw at 4,800 watts and wants a licensed electrician to put in the dedicated GFCI circuit.
Inside
Two are on the back wall and two on the right end. Each backrest curves out at the small of the back and again at the head, with gaps for the heat to pass.
Facing the benches, they heat you from the front while the backrest heaters work from behind. The Luminar 2 has six full-spectrum heaters in all, by Sun Home's count.
Two calf panels face your legs from under the benches, behind upright slats, and the third heater warms the floor under a cedar grate.
The back wall carries the long bench and the right end the short one. Neither has legs, so the floor stays clear underneath.
Accent strips run along the backrests and under the seats. The lights and the heat both answer to Sun Home's app over 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth carries your music.
The panel sets the heat as high as 170°F, with charging ports for your phone beside the controls.
Seated, you look straight out through the tinted glass. Heat-up takes 15 to 20 minutes by Sun Home's count, and more than an hour when it's below 40°F outside.

What to know before you buy
Western Red Cedar, full-spectrum, 240V plug-in. These decide whether it suits your space and your electrical panel.
- Western Red CedarWestern Red Cedar is the high-end sauna wood, and it resists rot and insects naturally. It's aromatic and conducts heat poorly, so benches stay cool enough to sit on at 90°C.
- Full-SpectrumA full-spectrum cabin gives you the widest wavelength coverage you can buy, since it adds near and mid infrared to far infrared in one room.
- 240V Plug-InA 240V plug-in model needs its own 240V circuit and a matching outlet, and an electrician installs both. Build roughly $600–$2,500 into your total budget for it.
