The fine print
How Sauna Monthly makes money
Short version: some of our outbound links are affiliate links. If you buy through one, we may earn a commission — at no extra cost to you. That’s what keeps the lights on and the research free to read.
Affiliate links (FTC disclosure)
Sauna Monthly participates in affiliate programs including the Amazon Associates Program and merchant programs run through networks such as Impact, Awin, UpPromote, and Refersion, as well as some brands’ in-house programs. When you click a link to a retailer and make a purchase, we may receive a commission. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. Outbound commercial links are marked rel="sponsored nofollow".
It costs you nothing extra
Affiliate commissions are paid by the retailer out of their margin. You pay the same price you would if you’d navigated to the retailer directly. If a program isn’t set up yet, the link simply points to the retailer with no tracking — nothing on the page changes for you.
Editorial independence
Commissions never buy a recommendation. We choose which products to feature on their merits — build quality, specs, value, and how well they fit a real use case — not on commission rate. A higher-paying program does not earn a product a better writeup, and we’ll happily point you to a cheaper or Amazon option when it’s the smarter buy.
A note on health information
Our articles cite peer-reviewed research on heat and cold therapy, but they are general information, not medical advice. Much of the evidence is observational — it shows association, not proven causation. Sauna and cold-plunge use carries real risks for some people. If you have a cardiovascular condition, are pregnant, or have any doubt, talk to a qualified clinician before starting a regular heat or cold routine.
