The fine print

Privacy policy

Sauna Monthly collects very little, and this page says what. Last updated September 11, 2026. The site is published by The Still Brands Inc., North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

What we collect

Newsletter signups. If you enter your email address in the newsletter form, we store that address, the page you signed up from and the time. That is the only personal information the site asks for.

Analytics. The site uses Vercel Web Analytics, which counts page views, referrers, countries and device types without cookies and without identifying you. When you click an outbound shop link, an anonymous event records which product and merchant the link pointed to. None of this is tied to a name, an email or a persistent identifier.

Your theme choice. Choosing light or dark mode stores that one preference in your browser’s local storage. It never leaves your browser.

Server logs. Our hosting provider, Vercel, keeps standard request logs (IP address, URL, user agent) for a short period to run and secure the service.

What we do with it

Newsletter addresses are used to send the newsletter and for nothing else. Analytics are used to see which pages and products readers find useful. We do not sell personal information, we do not buy it, and we do not build profiles of readers.

Who else sees it

Vercel hosts the site, stores newsletter signups and runs the analytics. Nobody else receives data from us. When you follow a shop link to a retailer, you leave this site: the retailer and, for affiliate links, the network that runs its program (Impact, Awin, UpPromote or the brand’s own system) may set cookies on that retailer’s site so a purchase can be credited to us. Those cookies are governed by the retailer’s policy, and the disclosure page explains how the commissions work.

How long we keep it

Newsletter addresses are kept until you ask to be removed. Analytics are aggregate and are retained by Vercel under its own policy. Server logs are kept by Vercel for its standard short window.

The MCP server for AI assistants

The site offers a read-only Model Context Protocol endpoint at https://saunamonthly.com/api/mcp so AI assistants can search the catalogue, read reviews and run the calculators. It has no accounts and asks for no personal information. Each tool call records an anonymous analytics event containing the tool name and the search terms passed to it, so we can see whether the endpoint is used; nothing about the person or the conversation is sent to us, and nothing is stored beyond that event and the standard server log.

Your choices

To be removed from the newsletter, or to ask what we hold about you and have it deleted, email mail@adambognar.com. The site works fully without accepting anything, since it sets no cookies of its own.

Children

The site is written for adults buying saunas and does not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
