What to know before you buy
Hemlock, far-infrared, 120V plug-in. These decide whether it suits your space and your electrical panel.
- HemlockHemlock is the workhorse wood of infrared cabins. Its boards are smooth with light knots, and the wood is hypoallergenic.
- Far-InfraredFar-infrared heats your body directly while the air stays at 45–60°C. It draws less power, and many cabins run on a normal household outlet.
- 120V Plug-InA plug-in model runs on a standard household outlet, so you won't need an electrician. Check whether it needs its own dedicated circuit.

Pick the kind of indoor sauna before the model. Infrared cabins plug into 120 volts, and a traditional cabin like Sun Home's Nova 3 needs a hardwired 240-volt circuit and nearly nine feet of ceiling.
