Good to know: The $6,990 price doesn't include a heater, and Sauna Kit Co makes you pick one from HUUM and Harvia electric heaters or a Harvia M3 wood stove. The cheapest, Harvia's The Wall 8 kW, brings the total to $8,382. SaunaLife's current warranty PDF gives two years, though its product pages still say lifetime.

What to know before you buy
Thermowood, Spruce, electric, wood-fired. These decide whether it suits your space and your electrical panel.
- ThermowoodThermowood is heat-treated without chemicals, so it holds its shape and resists rot. Outdoors, it stands up to rain and snow through freeze-thaw cycles.
- Nordic SpruceNordic spruce is the traditional Finnish sauna softwood. It's tight-grained and light, and the price is fair.
- Wood-FiredA log stove heats the room, so the sauna runs fully off-grid and the crackling fire becomes part of the ritual. Fans of wood heat call its löyly the softest. Plan for a chimney and about 45–60 min of heat-up.

A backyard sauna arrives as 1,500 lbs of pallets at the curb. We cover the check at the truck that protects a damage claim, then the assembly weekend.

Best outdoor saunas: which one should go in your yard?
For infrared heat outside we'd buy Sun Home's Luminar 5, and Nootka's 8ft barrel is our traditional pick. Redwood's eight-seat Garden suits a crowd, and Almost Heaven's Salem gets you a hot-rock barrel for $4,176.
