What to know before you buy
Western Red Cedar, electric, steam, 240V. These decide whether it suits your space and your electrical panel.
- Western Red CedarWestern Red Cedar is the high-end sauna wood, and it resists rot and insects naturally. It's aromatic and conducts heat poorly, so benches stay cool enough to sit on at 90°C.
- SteamA steam room runs wet heat at lower temperatures, the way a classic hammam does.
- ElectricAn electric heater holds a steady temperature on its thermostat and needs no chimney. Many models add app or timer control.

Before you buy
- Where can I buy the Almost Heaven Aurora?
- Costco sells the Almost Heaven Aurora online for $5,699.99, as item 1952807. Almost Heaven ships it to the curb under Costco's direct-from-manufacturer program, and Costco limits it to two per membership. Select Saunas and Almost Heaven's own store don't list the Aurora, and Costco showed it out of stock on Oct 5, 2026.
- How big is the Almost Heaven Aurora?
- Costco lists the Almost Heaven Aurora at 57.75 inches wide, 63.75 deep and 79.38 high outside, and 53.25 by 60.25 by 75.25 inside. That makes it deeper than it is wide, the reverse of the Auburn. Costco gives its weight as 625 pounds and rates it for three people on multi-level benches.
- What electrical service does the Almost Heaven Aurora need?
- Costco lists the Almost Heaven Aurora's 6 kW Harvia at 240V and 30 amps, so it needs a dedicated 240V circuit from an electrician. Costco's listing doesn't say whether the heater plugs in or hardwires, so ask before you book the electrician. Almost Heaven hardwires the 6 kW heaters in its Auburn and Madison.
- Should I buy the Almost Heaven Aurora or the Auburn?
- Most buyers should pick the Almost Heaven Auburn, which costs $4,260 at Select Saunas against the Aurora's $5,699.99 at Costco. Both seat up to three on a 6 kW Harvia. The Aurora adds Wi-Fi control as standard and a footprint 57.75 inches wide by 63.75 deep, which suits a square alcove better than the Auburn's 70 by 47.
