Who should buy the Cold Plunge Pro?
The Cold Plunge Pro suits a household or a home gym where two or more people plunge most days. Sun Home rates its 1 HP chiller to 28°F, though it doesn't publish how fast the water comes back down between plungers. Sun Home sizes the tub for one person at a time and lists it at 78.7 inches long, 33.5 wide and 34.2 high.
If you're the only one plunging, you can spend a lot less. Plunge's inflatable Air reaches 39°F for $5,490, and a passive tub like the $1,150 Ice Barrel 300 works if you're happy to buy ice.
What does it take to install?
Sun Home asks for a dedicated 15-amp GFCI circuit at 120V with a standard NEMA 5-15 outlet, so most garages and patios can host the Pro without new wiring. If the nearest outlet shares its circuit with a freezer, an electrician will need to run a new one. You fill it from a hose with no plumbing to connect. Sun Home wants drainage nearby and 3 feet clear at the chiller's vent end with a foot on each side, which makes an operating space of about 9½ by 5 feet.

Sun Home lists the tub at 400 lbs empty, and by our calculation 150 gallons of water adds about 1,250 lbs, so the full tub comes to about 1,650 lbs before anyone climbs in.
