Kilowatts to volume
The rule of thumb is about 1 kW per 45 cubic feet of room volume. Add roughly 25% for a glass door or uninsulated outdoor walls, and more in a cold climate. Undersize the heater and it never holds protocol heat through a full session; oversize it and you waste energy and money on the circuit.
Stone mass makes the steam
